I think Raynor just hates Mengsk because he left Kerrigan to die. I don't think he ever forgave him because even in Brood War before Fenix and him stole resources from the Kel-Morian Combine, there was a briefing in which him, Fenix and Mengsk were discussing Kerrigan. When Mengsk said that he beleives Kerrigan is completely untrustworthy, Raynor tells him to shut up and if he wanted to hear his opinion than he would have beaten it out of him (one of the funniest lines in the game IMO).
However I agree that WoL over-dramatised his hatred to the point where Raynor is so desperate to kill Mengsk that he'd risk his own crew. Well they say love is blind![]()

Blame shifting is pretty anti-hero. If only blizz had gone in that direction. He's trying to rationalise his guilt and conflict at not being able to save Kerrigan nor be in a position to kill her by blaming it on Mengsk.
If only...
Oh wait, they never will, so no point in caring. :P

Ok, whatever. I take it back. >_>What? Not you. I'm quite sure only one person still defends StarCraft II on the whole internet, and he's a troll. That's what I was saying.
Interesting. I'm sure there's a lets play of ME2 out there that I haven't seen yet...Its' a lot like the Illusive Man in Mass Effect. In 2 there was ambiguity about him, but in 3 it all gets thrown out the window.

I wish someone at Blizzcon would ask Blizzard why they've gone for such a cheesey and contrived story. Even places like IGN have called the story cliche and badly written. Why does Blizzard continue to ignore the feedback?
Saying they've already done so much work on the story that it's too late to change it is not a good excuse. Blizzard is known for delaying products so it can improve their quality and I'll willingly wait 5 years for LoTV if it means I get something closer to the original in terms of storytelling

Because this is how they are now. There's no more 'when it's done', although they may continue use of the quote (turning it into a meaningless slogan). Expect LotV to be released 2-3 years from now - or one year, if they feel the engine is getting dated. Why does Blizzard continue to ignore the feedback?
I think the main problem is there's not enough RTS competition in the market, so big companies like activision/blizz have no reason to worry. Big companies don't need to compete with small companies; hence why they're often lazy when they only have to consider other big companies a competitor (of which there is effectively less of then there are small companies out there).
TBH, I'm just hoping for them to get the shitty releases over with, and start releasing rapid fire titles - because at least then, by chance, something might stick (as is the case with even EA, sometimes).
Either that, or they might try something new, but that's less likely I think. I don't like to get my hopes up. I'm a cynic about these things.
