Babylon 5 star Michael O'Hare has died at the age of 60.

The actor, who starred as Commander Jeffrey Sinclair in the sci-fi series, passed away on Friday, five days after he suffered a heart attack and slipped into a coma.
I never watched Babylon 5 when it was on, and recently viewed the series in its entirety and it was much better than I expected. It was very cheesy but had fantastic acting and moral plot development - particularly Peter Jurasik and Andreas Katsulas as Londo and G'Kar.

While I feel O'Hare's acting was a bit over the top at points, I still enjoyed is performance and contribution to the show and the science fiction genre I love so much. He will be missed.

I will also take this opportunity to mourn the loss of the 4 other recurring actors of the show we have lost:

Richard Biggs (Dr. Steven Franklin) - aortic dissentention; age 44
    Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar) - cancer; age 59
Jeff Conaway (Zack Allen) - encephalopathy and pneumonia; age 60
Tim Choate (Zathras) - motorcycle accident; age 49

Oh man! That's practically all of the original cast.

That's how you know you're getting old...when all the artists/entertainers YOU grew up with start dropping like flies. Sigh.....

As long as William Shatner's still trollololing, I'm good.

    Rest In Peace, Old Friend.

Damn, that cast has the worst luck - I didn't even know about Tim Choate's accident.

Babylon 5 was what I considered to be one of the "Big 3" sci-fi universes I enjoyed in my youth. (ST:TNG, Babylon 5 and of course the older Star Wars movies)
Starcraft universe fan: Singleplayer and novels
