    This is a good article explaining a theory on why most modern plants absorb weak red/blue light as opposed to other spectra of light. Apparently, chlorophyll containing plants actually take a weaker form of energy. It puzzles scientists on why more complex organisms use blue/red instead of green. But it could just be the role of the evolutionary dice, much like how successful arthopods got overtaken by reptiles, and the reptiles themselves getting overtaken by mammals.
    Well I did the experience last week in my plant class, we use a sea plant ( Elodea) and used different light filter to see what happen with photosynthesis when we do. With blue light, electrons from the HOMO(highest occupied molecular orbital) goes to the LUMO +1 (lowest unoccupied molecular orbital + 1) and make the electric configuration unstable and so molecules lose heat to return to LUMO and finaly lose heat again to go back to their former HOMO. Photosynthesis was really slow with blue light. With red light, they go to LUMO directly and go back to HOMO by either releasing fluorescence or heat. Photosynthesis was faster in this case. Finaly with the green light, photosynthesis was way slower than both red and blue, because chlorophyll A doesn't accept green light. Only caratenoids (accesory pigment that you see when chlorophyll molecules break up in Fall) and slightly Chlorophyll B take green light. So since you have only 1.25 (.25 because of the Chloro B) of the 3 main pigments taking green light and all of them taking blue and red, this is why they reject green light the most.

    Shakuras = Twilight

    I don't see desert, unless that's what he means by wasteland.

    Mar Sara is a desert... it's shown in BR2. Well maybe not desert to be exact, but it's pretty close since I see cacti and stuff.

    MMMM, in SC1 desert got some cool tileset objects, like a sarlac-like monster, the critter was the scantid i think, some kind of giant scorpion. They got cacti, dry sand, cool stuf...

    Of course... it's always possible that the Zealot's oxygen is fed through to him via some other means in his combat suit. But then I wonder how he deals with the vacuum of space.
    All units in starcraft can live without air....except maybe ghosts. (zealot's shields act like a spacesuit :x)

    Uh, why wouldn't Ghost's be able to live without air?

    I assume you're assuming they don't have adequate equipment, which I highly doubt.

    Ghosts usually wear helmets. Basically they're wearing soft space suits.
