It's not the size that bugs me, but the fact that it's so heavy. Oh, and it has three fans. If I had known that, I wouldn't have gotten liquid cooling...

Perhaps because: a) I'm an excellent drawer, b) Stukov is my favourite Terran character, c) I don't need a lot of pictures to be able to draw someone and d) I've had practice drawing him before?

Indeed. And now that I have my tablet and computer combined with the free time I already have, this means that I will have a lot of time for practice.

I had intended that as a joking rhetorical question, but discussing my posting nuances are irrelevant to this discussion.

Any ETC on your first new project?
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

It depends on which one you are refering to. I haven't started on the one with the Ghost, High Templar, Dark Templar, marine etc. facing the Zerg. I'm trying to decide on the pose for the High Templar.

Right now, I've started a simple Dark Templar picture to practice colouring. I'll upload that sometime next week - probably early next week.

Oh, I beg to differ- though this is a thread about Sarov’s Art so I’ll keep that argument to myself.

    Back with all gun's blazing.

As do I. Though colour can be great, I've seen works that just look so much better left as a monotone. There's just a certain charm to seeing art that is black and white, especially (for me anyways) with graphite or pencils.

But, yes, colours, depending on what you're after, can be time consuming and would require some practice. Of course, I'm thankful for layers. :P

Yes, and I will be sad if there are too many off topic posts in my thread. It will derail from the point of this thread - to showcase my art to my fellow forum members.

Yes. That is true. Colour can be great but it is time-consuming. Very much so. If I were good at it, I would attempt it more often but I'm not so good at it. Which is why I need some practice. I can shade, it's just that making it look really good like the people at Blizzard isn't what I'm good at unfortunately.

Also a sort of mini update - I need to get a different program than GIMP. Sometimes the tools work but most of the time they don't. For example, I select the paintbrush tool and try to colour but nothing happens. I can do things like open and close files, open menus and select tools without any problems it's just that painting sometimes doesn't work.

I personally used Open Canvas and SAI when I do colouring. I... think I have the download for OC1... somewhere... though that depends on how simple or complicated you like your colouring software to be.

It's alright. It's not bad enough that I absolutely need another program but rather a bit annoying. All I have to do is open and close it until it works.

Also, have I ever stated how much I hate colouring pictures on the computer? I can do metal easily enough but I can't really do anything else or at least I can't make it look realistic and not cell-shaded.

You can always use your all friend paper, though it's quite expensive to get your pics look realistic.

True but I don't have the tools (Copic markers, oil pastels etc) to do that nor the money to get said tools. That and it's far easier, in a way, to colour on the computer. Or at least to blend things together - thank you for the blend and smudge tools! It's just that it takes a lot of practice; practice which I don't have.
