Timing the start of a beta to a specific three months is a little hard to believe if Blizzard didn't actually say so. We heard lots of rumors about Wings of Liberty's beta, in some cases literal years before the beta was announced.

This is an expansion. The release schedule is much tighter. Voice recording is one of the last things done for a video game project, and if they're doing that now I'd say Heart of the Swarm is on the horizon.

The main thing that makes me think the date is legit is that Heart of the Swarm has already taken way longer than Brood War or Frozen Throne did to come out. It's due. I know, I know, 'ready when it's ready'. But I can't imagine it's not close to ready after a year of working on it. It's an expansion pack. Most of it is art assets and things. The gameplay element is important, but it's pretty limited and quick.
