No, there weren't.there was slots for 2 more
At BlizzCon 08, the UI was not fully developed. Units took up more space in transports than they visually looked like. So while it might appear in the UI that there would be room for two more Colossi, the game wouldn't let you load them.
It was very confusing.
Technically, Thors have never taken space because they could not be transported in the past at all. Now that they can be, the general consensus is 1, since they're carried on the outside of a Medivac.Has anyone gotten a not outdated confirmation of how much space the Thor takes up?

Win
Okay, maybe the 'falling Thor' ideas were a little over the top, but here's my issue: if the 'Thor-on-the-outside' thing is in place for balance reasons, I'm all for it - but if its strictly for visuals (?) then I'd rather not have my opponent know which of my 150 hp dropships is carrying my 400 hp 300/200 Thor.
As for scale, I agree with Squid; it's irrelevant - there are already tons of scale discrepancies - all of which we have learned to accept - A Thor climbing into a dropship shouldn't be much of a stretch.
As for balance, Noobonic's idea for somehow extending the time it takes to load/drop the Thor sounds best IMO.
