I left it re-download and install all night. It randomly stopped at 42%, barely playable. Now it gives me error 37, servers busy, when I try to log in.

Error 37 means you need to spam more.
(thus creating more error 37 for other people > but you will eventuelly get in)

Well, thanks to the broken patching and lag, I got a total of 5 hours with the beta. It felt like Diablo, and I'll buy it.

FYI, the server was down for maintenance when you were trying to patch so it's not a major problem; just normal beta maintenance. The lag, however, is odd since Diablo 3 is not a demanding game as far as I can see. I'm curious, what's your CPU and GPU?

I'm pretty bad with hardware, the info I can scrounge up is:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @2.33 GHz
6 GB RAM
Running Windows 7

And I have a high-speed wireless DSL internet connection.

Sounds pretty awful but you should still be able to play it with the settings low. Like I said, Diablo 3 isn't a demanding game. There's hope though. StarCraft II was a bit more demanding in the beta than in release.

DS, your GPU info is missing. the rest looks decent; a good bit better than my 7 year old setup. (XP Pentium D 2.8Ghz 3 GB ram GeForce 9600GT 1GB) maybe im used to the lag, but i felt like the game ran decent in a party of 2 outside the most crowded area. (im lookign to upgrade next week. not sure if ill get it done or if im able to piece shit together without fucking up)
