I don't think there's anyone around here who is as obnoxious as that. Even when if it does seem inferred in some of the WoL detractors arguments, usually it is never actually intended.

As far as I can tell from the b.net forums, the only reason why someone would become borderline abusive is when someone rebuts and claims victory over a carefully reasoned critique with arguments that consist of either a wave-of-the-hand, constant refusal to acknowledge basic principles, taking a position of hard-core relativism or being contrarian with the flimsiest of pretenses. Who wouldn't be pissed off about that?
Yes, that's right! That is indeed ME on the right.

Clearly you have no idea who I am, then.

WoL's story was so bad, I was shocked to learn neither Stephenie Meyer nor Ayn Rand is employed by Blizzard.

    Nah, just Metzen.

Seriously, that man needs to stop writing. Anything. He shouldn't sign checks anymore.

Sorry Demo, you'd been fairly quiet recently on the "WoL story is bad" front that I'd forgotten about you.

Anyone else who wants to own up to being an abusive troll?

You're a fucking retard for liking that. You are an evil, horrible, disgusting person with NO taste in video game stories whatsoever. : )

Here, let me put it in terms that fucking retards can understand. Cadoodles?

Metzen himself said that SCII was a love story. Yes, a self-titled "war" game that allegedly puts people through every tough bit they can take is really just a game about some dood trying to get it in.

First of all, love has very little to do with Raynor's driving passion at the end of Brood War. Besides acting like Brood War doesn't happen at all, SCII trivialises the deaths of Fenix, Duke, Aldaris, and the countless BILLION INNOCENTS that had ALREADY BEEN KILLED by the evil monstrosity that is Kerrigan. At the end of BW Zerg mission five -- "True Colors", I believe it was called -- Raynor says [paraphrasing from memory] "I'll kill you for this, Kerrigan. It may not be today, it may not be with an army behind my back, but mark my words."

But now, whoop-de-do, ol' Jimmahboy is drunk and ready to fuck. At least, that's what we can assume he's thinking with an empty glass on the counter and a picture of Sarah in his hands. Then he gets all WTFANGRY and shoots the television because it isn't on the porn station.

But, let's give Blizz the benefit of the doubt here (not that they deserve it) and accept that four years is enough time to forgive the person you love from killing your best friend, almost killing you, and slaying countless billions of innocent people. Sure. That makes sense. Facetiousness aside, let's assume that (inb4 ass out of u and me) and move on to the other biggest [ass]hole in the plot of SCII.

By making every mission except the main story segments optional, not only do we get a half-assed, short-ass RELEVANT campaign, but we literally see the biggest lard orgy in the history of the universe. If you do not play the Protoss mini-campaign, with Zeratul's crystal, which is OPTIONAL, there is no reason for the Terran Dominion to help their mortal enemy, James Raynor, except "I'm in luv, gaiz". This is shit. Utter. Fucking. Shit. What defence does Blizzard have? Valerian knew about Kerrigan's role? Unlikely, since Mengsk restricts most of the information he gets (read the books) and the only one who knew that otherwise was a fucking old-ass Dark Templar who had lived long enough to see negative solar anomalies (Zeratul). Kerrigan herself didn't know what role she had to play. Even if you consider Valerian knowing, all he says to Raynor is that he has what he's always wanted - a way to bring Sarah back, which points to the entire Dominion fleet following Valerian following Raynor because Raynor's in love. There is no payoff for Valerian doing this (unless he's some kind of sicko sadist who enjoys watching horrific monsters slice his fellow man up six ways to Sunday) -- in fact, all he really gets is a berating from his father and a bunch of death threats from other people.

In reality, there are so many other plot holes and broken methods of storytelling (UED, anyone? No? Nobody knows about them? Okay.) that I could go on for hours, but I'm busy doing other things, so I'll leave you guys to it.

    Ciao.

    Not anymore, but ...

Here, let me put it in terms that fucking retards can understand.
I have high hopes for this one.

    Rest In Peace, Old Friend.

This whole thread has been about trolling SC2's story. I really don't see the point to fight for the SC2 story anymore since Metzen said, "We love our games so much they are really bad storywise". If you are not trolling Pronogo you should be a little more polite to others.

I don't think I shall, no. When people have no respect for good storytelling, I have no respect for them.

Having a different opinion is not 'trolling', it's having a different opinion. Only idiots (all of this thread) think otherwise, and it's really starting to make me relish being called a troll merely because I see things a different way.

    You're all worthless.

First, most of us feel disapointed about the SC2 storyline. This thread is an uneeded manifestation of these feelings.

Second, I thought you were a troll (and perhaps Tychus did the same) when I read your post full of curse words and exagerated remarks against DarthYam. DarthYam did harrass haters with his first post and tried to prove a point, but he was trolling. Every single post after the OP was a jest towards discusing SC2 story.

Third, If you were trying to defend your own point of view and were ofended by the OP, then state so in a more polite way. I'm sorry for calling you a troll btw.

Just like DarthYam "had" a different opinion. So shall we call people names before calling them trolls?

Take a look at where you are. Most of us know more than needed about lore and discuss a wide range of topics. Join us as a polite member of the forums, or join the sad souls of the fallen.

About this thread, all of you keep your trolling low and enjoy the troll orgy or else we will have to close it.
