    In all fairness it could be argued that ending the Broodwar on such a dire note was primarily where blizzard went wrong.

    By killing off most of their main characters, closing the 1st saga with Kerrigan and the zerg on top and holding all the cards and everyone else broken and utterly at her mercy, they basically wrote themselves into a hole, lopping off potential story branches and severely limiting the direction the storyline could (logically) take.

    It might've made more sense just to close out the SC saga then and there......

    Funny. This is the exact same viewpoint I've held regarding Starcraft's future back when I had first completed BW more than a decade ago. It's such a damn pity that WoL actually proved to be an ample justification for that viewpoint...

    Either that or have SC2 originally been solely about destroying the zerg and hybrids. Although I think Kerrigan redeeming herself was foreshadowed in BW, slightly. Could've been handled better though, definitely.
