Well I don't have that problem, never played WarCraft.
He could have found out any number of ways, the soldiers told him his brother vanished, he went to the mines and saw his brother was gone, he asked about his brother and was told he died, etc.it just doesn't make much sense anyway. Did that guy go searching for the people who vanished? If he did search for them then wouldn't he have "Disappeared" too? How does he know they aren't still in the mines.
Agreed that would be more clear, but still a silly line to pick on. I actually liked WoL's story, but I won't deny it had some flat lines. Why single out that one in particular when there's plenty of other fodder to be had?"after they're taken to the mines we don't see or hear from them" would have even fit better if they didn't want to go the mature route and suggest they had died down in the mines. Which is way cooler :P after all, why would they need a new batch of miners every week. Right?
