Is anyone else having trouble with the live streams from blizzard? I can't access some of the panels even though I have the virtual ticket. Some of the WoW related panels work fine, but then many of the starcraft panels are either in the 'wrong place' (you click on one thing and get another) or they just don't work.

Yes, actually. There's a problem going on with a lot of people right now. Apparently Blizzard is aware of it.
I've fought for the Terran revolution, I've seen the promise of the Protoss, and now I'm ready to join the might of the Swarm...

Odd, I haven't gotten any issues with any of the streams. O_o
Are you all streaming at 2mbit?

EDIT: If you encounter any issues, try reloading the page. Perhaps try logging back in again, too.

I think he meant in the archive. To look back at things already happened that you either missed or want to re-watch. Certain things there did not work for me.

Scientists measure a second as the duration of 9,192,631,770 periods
of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine
levels of the ground state of the caesium 133 atom.
Or the duration of 9,192,631,770 matches where David Kim crushes you head to head in StarCraft 2

Ah, haven't tried the archive. But I guess it's because of the fact that some of the panels ran past their allotted time. I say give each panel some time. Perhaps it'll work in 1 hour.

The process of removing or modifying units is a great idea. What i'm seeing though is that the new or modified units are very similar to old sc1 units (Firebats, Goliaths, Corsair, Arbiters.) The Viper is very unique, which I think is cool though. Zerg siege looks like it will break the Zerg mold a bit, which is also fine with me.

I do get this vibe that they are screwing around until Void comes out. The process of them getting rid of units that didn't work (ex. Mothership) while adding the same concept of one unit per army to another unit (Thor) seems like a bunch of hooey. I mean, we told them since day 1 that the mothership wouldn't work.

I love Browder and his passion for the game, but I still see these instances where his C&C influence comes through and it brings down 10% of the game.

Do you guys think the final iterations of Sc2 after Void hits will end up being perfect like Sc1 unit-wise?

The BlizzCon StarCraft II Multiplayer Panel coverage article is up on the front page now, with pictures from StarCraft: Legacy staff who are personally attending BlizzCon.

I like that they're not BSing on removing useless units, but agree that the replacements seem pretty similar. I'm glad they're taking out the carrier, mothership, overseer, and anything else they choose to, however, these replacements are still theoretically OP sounding until they probably get nerfed into uselessness like the mothership, reaper, etc...

The zerg siege unit is ridiculous. They're focusing too much on concept (i.e. swarmishness) at the cost of balanced gameplay. The zerg caster that replaces the overseer looks pretty solid right now. Burrow move banelings plus burrow charge ultras = I might switch back to zerg after a long year of terran due to the fact that zerg was just too difficult at gold to play.

New protoss units seem like silly replacements for the removed units. Terran hellion thingy might prove useful in rare situations. Terran radiation thing will definitely be scrapped or majorly adjusted if I'm not mistaken. I mean I get that you can't have units near it but it looked pretty OP without units near it and seems to overlap with siege tank imo.

Irrelevant, but I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't reveal a Diablo 3 release date for 2012... unless I missed something and they did?

I'm torn about it. D3 could probably use a lot more work, but I'd be disappointed if they push it back further past Q1. I'd hate to see D3's release be an April Fool's joke!

Gone are the days when Blizzard would screw themselves out of a holiday release to make the game truly epic. They delayed Diablo 2 past a holiday season all the way to a June release back in 2000.
