For me a bunch of them also are broken, but only when they're embedded, I can right click on them and see them if I open them in a new tab.
Anyway, I had no idea that the differences I was noticing were because of the high/low quality textures! I'm sorry!
The only reason I thought an orthographic view might be nice is if, say, a ridge on the model that was sticking out horizontally into the foreground was partly covering up/cutting off a window behind it, but from just the zoomed out image one might assume that the window wasn't being blocked, but was simply smaller. Of course, you seem to know what you're doing, I probably shouldn't have doubted you.
As for the possible windows within the glows, I'm afraid there's no way of knowing. :/ The only really scalable windows will be the bridge, since those are the only interior windows we've seen. I'll try to model those sometime...
And with regards to the Redstone system background, I don't think it can be used to say that the armory is on the side of the ship, because I bet if you go to the bridge during those missions, that exact same view would be in front of the bridge windows. They just only made one matte painting, I'd expect. :P

It's okay. No need to apologize.
Going back to the BC, scaling only the window, cutting out that excess illumination, I have a figure that's consistent with the Drop Pod figure.
Assuming the windows are the size of the one in Frontline:
They are easily 2 meters in size, you get:

Where the hell did you get that, Defiler??? But I disagree with the placement of the bridge; I'm pretty sure it's further back on the super structure, at the base of the neck on the dorsal surface.

Stepping away from the battlecruiser for a minute, I'm making a shuttle model that's turning out pretty nice. So, it'll replace the old drawing, which was pretty fat.
I have to make up what the bottom looks like though. There was a 3D shuttle in SC:Ghost, but I only know of 2 pictures of it.
Front:
Here it looks like the entire bottom section might split in half and open, and then I guess the stuff inside would just be hovered to the ground. Which I support, because I can't picture reavers crawling up a ramp and through doors or anything.
Back:
Does anyone know of any other pictures? I always think I've found every reference image, but just this week I found a picture of the SCG Ultra I'd never seen before from a magazine scan, so, it's always possible!
I also have a couple of references from comics, this one, which is an awesome design, and this one, which is meh. Does either comic show the back or underside though?

Go into the editor, make sure you have the dependencies under the "file" tab to allow for Liberty Story, enter the Data manager, look into or open the "Models" tab, search under the folder "SMSET" and look for the name "SMHyperionExterior." Right click, go to "View Selection," and click on "Preview TYPE."
It will pop up in the cinematic editor, letting you play with the model.
