Interestingly, I'm about 90% sure that the zergling model in that cinematic is the same as the one from the Starcraft: Ghost intro cinematic:

All the little spikes and things are in the exact same places. Maybe there are a couple of minor changes. I was really happy to see them in that cutscene!

And you're right about the larva, I should make them smaller in the next version, that's a very clear quote. Thanks!

As for ultralisks, well, I've got 2 in there already, maybe I'll go ahead and do a Torrasque for the LotV image, maybe not. :P

I have to rethink how I'm going to redo the ground units chart for LotV. Quite frankly, it's too big, too big for me to edit easily, too big for anyone to view. I might end up having to split it into 3 separate charts, one for each race, and then maybe just have a big poster-sized image with all 3 charts one on top of the other.

I am watching really close your Epic chart and i have some feedback for you.
Larva should be more like these two images instead to be similar to the in-game model

The corruptor is supposed to be a giant and scary creature for protoss and terrans... But your corruptor is smaller of a Corsair! I think you did it so small because it is supposed to have the same role of the Devourer, or because it must be less big of a brood lord (not true because overlords are bigger of overseer for example).

The Corruptor so tiny is just weird in my honest opinion!

Other thing i don't understand completely is why you did a hybrid of SC1-SC2 firebat (i think you just hate SC2 firebat, i love it instead <3), Hydralisk ( Ok for the SC1 colors, looks cool, but the 3 blades small like the ones of sc1 personally should be a bit bigger) and at least the Lurker, here you did 3 designs... SC-Ghost, Hybrid SC1-SC2 and an SC2 model, i don't understand why choosed the Hybrid, the SC1 Lurker and SC2 Lurker are similar but if you look closer the artwork of sc1 and the model of SC2 you notice that the SC1 lurker is simply a Hydralisk with some more Legs and the SC2 lurker is a more deep transformation, more armored and more adapt to do actions underground, also the portrait with 6 eyes confirm that... I know you known this yet but i am still a bit confused about all that trouble on Lurker design and why use a Hybrid model... De gustibus

And at last some models are on a lowest definition (they are awesome too but someone looks a bit weird)

Reaver is a bit outdated he doesn't have a clear golden effect but anyway is ok

BW ultralisk is outdated, the coloration is not very detailed, but nothing of weird here

SC2 Ultralisk, is the most low definition model, because after the hots intro you had to increase the dimension of the picture to can match the ones of the cutscene, the problem is that now he looks really weird, just to say it and is not at the level of other zerg pictures

The MS Core is a bit strange, but i don't unerstand too how it could be drawn better, a good picture afterall.

I actually drew it to look more like the SC1 larva, so I don't mind if it looks different. But, anyway, as you said earlier, it should be smaller, so people won't be able to see the details anyway.

You're right, I mostly made it that size because that's how big the guardian and devourer are. I wish Blizzard had shown us some corruptors in a cinematic, so that we could know for sure! I do still think it's pretty huge though, I mean, if you saw one of those flying around, it would be terrifying.

It's actually the Starcraft: Ghost firebat. This way I had infantry from all 3 games: the marine and marauder are from SC2, the medic is from SCBW, and the firebat is from SCG.

Hah, de gustibus indeed, I like that hybrid lurker a lot. As for the hydralisk, you're right, the blades are a bit small for the Starcraft 2 design... I might end up de-hybridizing the hydralisk and just drawing new, separate versions for SCBW, SCG and SC2. I do love hydralisks...

All this is definitely true. Some of them I might try to fix up. The mothership core is one of the worst-looking, I think, but maybe I'll just make it a bit bigger and take it out of the ground units chart entirely. If it only shows up on the capital ships chart, like the arbiter, it'll be too small to see any bad-looking details. I will also redraw some of the units like the Mothership.

I didn't know about ispiration from sc1 larva, ok !
For the corruptor i thinked too that if looked from Human eyes it could be giant, but when a human says "huh not so giant, is only a bit more big of my medivac, some random vikings can kill it easily" the giant and scary effect vanish, same from protoss eyes "looks soldier, the corruptor, it may could look big and scary but my phoenix is more big and i can roflstomp his ass on few shots".
This would happen if a human see a real size corruptor "on s#@t this is getting really bad, no way our tiny vikings can kill these stuffs without support", if a protoss see a storm of real sized corruptors he would say "looks soldier these corruptors, if you see one of it with your phoenix you have to use all your skill and... RUN! RUN! RUUUUUUUUUUUNN!!!!!"
All that troll examples are to explain you that it must be scary also for guys on ships, from ground they aren't scary because they cannot hit ground
So is a SC:Ghost Firebat... It makes sense... Finally, so i can stop to think that you simply retconned it
I like too that Lurker too but i saved all three lurkers on my imgur account, they are so bloddy sexy!
You love Hydralisks? Me too, msybe the most beautiful unit design i ever seen on SC (I prefer SC2 Hydralisk, it doesn't look anymore a snake-Alien asd) i am too sad that SC1 mission and some SC:BW mission was Hydralisk + a + click = Win and now Hydralisk + a + win = Loss on the HotS campaign, so lame that Between Lurker and Impaler Hydralisk Strains the only difference is the morph result (same for Mutalisks split).
Good American Thanksgiving too also if i am on Italy and this doesn't mean nothing to me lol

On this short story the roach is "towering" so is really more big of you 2 m high roach, he should be at least 4 meter or so.

Hmm, very well done, if anything have a siege mode arclite and a tank mode crucio, however do keep the large chart as it looks decent and is not too hard to view with zoom control

I don't think I plan on doing the other modes of the tanks, just because, well, you can tell what sizes they are the way they are.

I like the giant chart too, but, it's really getting too big for me to be able to edit on my computer. Like, there are a lot of new units I want to add for the next version, like the Purifier, Terran Light Infantry, maybe an infested civilian, the spine and spore crawler, maybe some more of the Hero units (Fenix, Raynor, Dehaka, maybe?)... But each time I add a new unit, I have to move all of the other ground units over... and then I have to rearrange the air units so that they all fit nicely, and then I have to move around the labels... And then since the file is like 30000 pixels wide it takes a long time for my computer to make any of the changes. It's all such a big pain that I might have to switch to 3 slightly smaller ones.

I admit it does describe them as "towering," but that scene also takes place inside some sort of maintenance hallway, with stairs to get to it. The ceiling of the hallway itself is probably about 3 meters, so the roach shouldn't be any taller than that.

So, 1 klick = 1000 meters. "Within a quarter klick" = less than 250m. That's still a very long range to spit, but it isn't 500m.

I didn't chacked the translation, on the italian version it says "a mezzo miglio" => "at half of mile", anyway is indeed a long range ( more of a Hydralisk? Nope, i read that a spine can damage a neostell plat also if launched from 1000 m ).
Anyway the roach 3 or 4 meter could be ok, but not 2 meter, he is more bigger of a marine on his tiny CMC.
What about doing a roach based on the model of the Leviathan "armory" ? Not very necessary but if you need i can give you all angolations of the model from the editor, same for the other models.
For the Ground units chart, you have to split it, create new charts with new units/buildings, so here it is my suggestions
Buildings Chart: This will contain ONLY buildings, maybe one up another, i mean like the air units Chart, one Building and one another building up, so you will have a AAA X AAA chart and not a AA X AAAAAAAAA picture, i mean perfect foursquare picture that doesn't waste space, this "foursquare rule" should be added also to other charts.

Let's continue with divisions of actual ground chart:

Vessel Chart, all units that can fly will go on thi Chart

same for other BIG ground units, they could go behind the smaller units to save space, or upper like the flagship chart.
Are on your plans these units? Flying locust and the scourges of the scourge cannon of the second mission of char on Heart of the Swarm.
The Hybrid are mentioned on SC Flashpoint, i am reading it on Google Book, so gratis, but is on English, you can't image the pain of read on english, 1/10 of words need me to take the translator or urban dictionary, when i will come to the page of Hybrids (type starcraft flashpoint hybrid if you want to chack it from yourself) i will tell you if they say something about Hybrids (there are 3 hybrids, only prototips or still not complete, a destroyer a reaver and a Snake body with crab pincers one)

I felt like drawing one, the chart was missing some of that stripey Protoss goodness. I'll probably label it as Fenix on the chart, I plan on doing a bunch of the hero units.

hated the non symmetrical dragoons, love the remake ones, also could you think of adding the different classes of BC's(hercules and leviathan) and the different versions of the carrier used in sc2 alpha(tempTest) for the lotv update or sometime in between?
