Unfortunately, even if I coiled the body as tightly as intestines, they would still be ultralisk-diameter intestines, and would take up the size of all the smaller ground units combined. :P So, just the head.

A ultralisk might coil away its sharp bits and then fit through the body kinda like how a snake eats a much larger creature.

Er... maybe this was already mentioned. Whatever.

My only problem with this thread is that I can't give you enough rep.

The drawings are fantastic. I would love to print it and just place it on my wall. I'll show you guys any results.

My general approach for HotS and LotV would be to only add their units to a new poster and use this one as reference. BTW, have you submitted this to the spaceships' scale website?

Thanks thanks thanks! You're helping keep me wanting to make more cool stuff like this (buildings...? haha). I'm totally planning to print one out for my wall too.

I could do a separate HotS poster add on, but I also expect HotS to invalidate some of my old estimates, especially for units like the infestor where I had nothing to go on. At least I really really hope there are high-poly versions of units like infestors and overlords for the in-game cutscenes. Oh my god I can't wait. :P

So, even if the HotS units were separate, I'd have to update the old ones too. We'll see. I do kind of want the Leviathan dwarfing all the other capital ships up there.

I did actually recently email the "Starship Dimensions" guy, and while I hope he responds/likes the project, I really don't expect him to add any of my stuff in. Partly because so much of the ships, especially most of the Protoss ships, are based on so little, in contrast with his incredibly precise figures. Also though I look at his page and only see Star Wars capital ships going up through Episode 1— Episode 3 had some great ship designs! I would honestly rather have him catching up on that than trying to neaten up my drawings. :P

Don't worry. Some of his figures aren't that precise depending upon the source (his Ha'tak for one, considering how many times the model seems to change size in Stargate) and I think you did excellent with the Protoss ships. The best estimate I've seen for the fighters I believe.

Thanks! And the answer to your question is both yes and no.

I still think it'd be really good to be able to select any two units you wanted to compare, and maybe some real-life planes and things as well— but, a Flash document has to load all the images right at the start, which is kind of silly when you only want to look at like two of them at a time. An ordinary web page with images would make more sense, I only picked Flash because I don't know how I would scale the images to fit the frame without it.

So, it's still on my mind, we'll see if I do anything about it.

Hey Robear: The Minotaur Battlecruiser is the largest thing I can do in MineCraft with the height limit of 256 blocks, I'm going to be doing it pretty soon. Thing is that the only reference I have for the width is the screenshot in the game that says it's 82.5 meters. After making a 83 by 528 meter reference, I can tell you that this is absolute bull.

What would your estimates be on the width of some of the capital cruisers, primarily the Minotaur?
