When your done I don't see a possible reason that Blizzard will not accept each individual piece and the one big one as artwork for their site.

I think the mutalisk thing is more due to game mechanics. When they're buzzing around the Hyperion, it's using the in-game engine, and as per such an engine, small air units are always larger than they should be when compared to capital ships. Makes it easier to play the game, but doesn't always translate well in cutscenes.

In-game engine or not, A cutscene is a cutscene, which I interpret as canon. Game mechanics only refer to, again IMHO, making the game balanced on that term. If it was on the in game map, you may have a point, but seeing as the cinematic is also on the DVD, I don't think that saying game mechanics is really applicable to the situation.

In the map editor, actually, there is a "scale-model" mutalisk, which is also comparable to the "scale-model" marine model. Robear's mutalisk is rather close to the comparison; in fact, I think that they are too small in comparison the marine (I'll check the actual model when I'm back at my desktop).
There are two issues: the Hyperion scale model is actually too small, which is why there is a hi-res Hyperion, but not a scale model. Secondly, the mutalisks were shown without a precise comparison point in comparison to the H. In other words, there is no way to judge exactly how far the mutalisks were from the Hyperion, or how close to the camera, etc, etc. The optical illusion that they were closer than they appeared to be is very likely.
Also, I personally don't base the exact size off of the engine-rendered cinematics, opting for the pre-rendered ones (The Deal, the Prophecy, etc). There should be quite a few pre-renders in HotS that we can use as well.

Appologies if you've seen this before and used this in your scale, but the above image shows a colossus against what looks like a Viking. Niffy artwork at the least.

They are out of place, stupid and silly. But blizz had the bright idea of putting there. I suppose showing them this art will intensify the problem. And I've also drawn a Predator, but it seems so out-of-place that I don't know if I should bother keeping it in.
Any way of retconning memory of the comics and the upgrade which puts them there (they aren't even that good of a unit) is fair in my book.
Yeah, I know I've been complaining about WoL and how the story is a lost cause, but whatever. This is setting stuff, not the plot or aesthetic.
Robotic dogs are just too silly. Go back to zoids or transformers.

Actually, we do have a frame of reference.
Look at it around the 0:26 mark and after.
One of them is getting shot at and flies right past the gun. To put that in respective, those guns are 30 meters long. Those mutalisks have to be huge considering the blasts aren't overly huge compared to them.
My personal interpretation of it makes it just fine to me.Originally Posted by solidsamurai
One, that Mengsk tricked Raynor into dealing with Kerrigan for him. This way, he keeps his Magnificent Bastard schtick, his actions against Raynor are not incompetence but stringing him on to each artifact, explains how he quickly takes Raynor out of the picture in Heart of the Swarm, and generally makes it look better.
Two, that the Overmind we heard from Starcraft 1 was really the Dark Voice all along. This way, the drastic chance in character is explained, We still have the villain with delusions of god hood around from the first game, and it just helps me to forget Tassadar's new VA.
After that though, not many plot holes.
Oh...this guy....

I really don't get this line of thought. Maybe it's because I didn't see much, if any signs of incompetance from Mengsk in the game, but why use the Raiders instead of a conventional unit (surely he can spare one the size of the Raiders). And why set the Raiders on Mar Sara for instance when the Dominion is extracting an artifact anyway?Originally Posted by Shadow Archon
That we get the Overmind's POV in Queen of Blades aside, there's still an issue here. Even if the Overmind is the Dark Voice speaking all that time, it makes his concentration on Kerrigan iffy, as if the Dark Voice chose Kerrigan himself. IMO, the Overmind is still his own character, he's simply operating within the confines of the mandate the Dark Voice has given (bar Kerrigan being the wildcard).Originally Posted by Shadow Archon
I wouldn't say I dislike it though. I've said it many times, the mission could have easily lost its suspension of disbelief aspect with just a few lines of dialogue.Originally Posted by Shadow Archon
