Yeah, we'll see how the textures for the roach go. And yeah VoK, that image will be absolutely vital for the Spear. I won't be doing it at the level of detail of the Leviathan, I'll probably have an inset in the next version at a scale of like 1px = 10m for the Spear and Leviathan and then have the rest of the capital ship chart at 1px=1m, and then the whole thing will be a lot neater and more manageable than the HotS version.

I also finished the Mutalisk 3D model for my animation, so now we can look at how the size I ended up going with for my chart stacks up with the terran ships. It's smaller compared to the wraith than I initially imagined, but looking back at the Starcraft: Ghost trailer I think it's right. So, good, I won't have to change its size on the chart. It's probably still a bit bigger than the SC2 version, but mine has a smaller head, so it looks right for it to be a bit longer.

The Adept looks female. I'm glad there's more gender diversity going on with the Protoss. Anyone else thinking she's a follower of the late Twilight Messiah, Adun? About time we get some Void/Khala-empowered units! Considering she looks awfully a lot like Artanis, I'm thinking that's the case.

Hahaha, okay. Look at the Adept's outfit: the armor, the skirt, and the hovering ring are all reminiscent of Artanis' getup. Compare the Adept against Artanis's appearance in the Oblivion trailer.

For some reason I don't like it when they add female units to Starcraft. It feels forced.

For an enlightened and communal species, I'm surprised females are under-represented, though it is interesting that they're likely to be in a role of command or high regard -- such as Raszagal and Selendis. I'd expect them to match males in martial prowess and intelligence. It seems forced that there are so few females.

Remember, what we see is mostly Protoss military. Their species breeds slowly so its actually not surprising to me they'd try to keep the females off the front lines. Most modern countries do the same because ultimately, wombs are too valuable. Although the fact the Protoss are so advanced they should have artificial wombs throws a bit of a wrench in that theory. We can't really know without being 100% certain about Protoss reproduction, although they are a very spiritual people so they may feel that "test tube babies" aren't real Protoss.
