Most curious, the list includes "Witchking", "Arathorn", "Smeagol", "Dwalin", "Eomer", "Denethor", "Nazghul", "Jedi", "Sith", "Darth Jedi" and "Shadowbane" which are perfectly acceptable fantasy names, albeit mostly from Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Is that for copyright reasons? So I can have a character named "Thorin" but not "Dwalin" and "Luke Skywalker" but not "Jedi"? And "Cairne" and "Deckard Cain" specifically are forbidden as well (at least the "Deckard Cain" bit makes some sense).

And why the prejudice against "Agnostic" and "Pagan"? So I can have a "Christian", "Judaist", "Muslim" or "Atheist" character but anything not strictly Judaeo-Christian is not allowed?

The list also includes "Warcrack" (Blizzard is touchy these days apparently), "Tyler Durden" (and worried about anti-consumerist sentiments), "Rasputin" (the politics of 1910s Russia still a touchy subject?), "Hendrix" (I can still be "Elvis" though), "Gaddafi" (but not "Osama"), "Gott" (clearly, Nietzsche had a hand in making the list), "Gandhi" (why? what have they got against pacifists?), "King" (Royalists need not apply either), "Acclaim" (I hope I can still call my character "Glory"? Or perhaps at the very least "Moderate Approval"?) and "Amaretto" (admittedly they seem to forbid all names of common alcoholic drinks, but why something so obscure?).

And of course there are "Taiwan", "Xizang" and "Tibet" for which China is clearly to blame.

I don't even like games in the genre that Diablo is in but I'll definitely watch that. Need some moar Day[9].
