It'd help for those writing fanfiction. I wanna here you're opinion.
Cyberpunk?
Steampunk?
Dieselpunk?
Biopunk?
Atompunk?
What others are there?

So you don't know much about writing and sub-genres then.

Pick whichever one you're comfortable with.
Seriously. The Koprulu Sector is huge. IMO Tarsonis is a bit like mega-Atlanta, and Mar Sara was New Texas (or Wyoming), but you can make each planet whatever you want.

I wrote an individual post for ach of these describing what in StarCraft resembles each one, but I accidently hit a button taking me away from the site as I checked the sources :P... But in short:
I would say StarCraft does contain elements from all of the mentioned above.
Ghosts as lone cyberpunk hackers (and assassins)
Korhal IV's history resembles Atompunk, and concept art for its architectural style resembles Dieselpunk. Mengsk surely has an affinity for Art Deco and Victorian design in his ships, fits Steampunk (excluding the technology level of SC ofc)
And the Resocialization of Marines certainly has an element of Biopunk in it.
On the surface I find no other direct ones. While it is most likely present, I have yet to see (to the best of my memory) elements of Nanopunk. I would like to see that however.
Sandalpunk can maybe if you really, really(!) stretch it be attributed to protoss history.
Spacepunk maybe?
Scientists measure a second as the duration of 9,192,631,770 periods
of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine
levels of the ground state of the caesium 133 atom.
Or the duration of 9,192,631,770 matches where David Kim crushes you head to head in StarCraft 2

I personally don't feel that StarCraft is relevant to anything of the -punk genres. By definition the punk genres involve a mentality that I can only describe as retro-technology. There is nothing about StarCraft in my eyes that is truly retro. It's sci-fi as a core. Even in it's "retro" parts, that's not part of the core ideals of StarCraft but typically preferences of the individuals that create those tendancies. Just because I like to have an atari in my house doesn't define me as living in a retro-culture. Today it would be defined as "modern".
That's my opinion on the matter.
