Three months gone - Evolution of meta?

So I've been gone for a little over three months or so and I was wondering if the meta game has shifted at all or if anyone stumbled across some interesting strategies.

With the games I've played since being back I haven't noticed too much that is different, granted I haven't played PvP. :P

I think PvP has changed the most, ironically. With the buff to Archons the whole game has shifted. There's also been increased creative Infestor play that's decided some important matches.

PvP seems to be more of a coinflip after the WG nerf. The patch didn't do much for this matchup.

Well the patch aimed to reduce 4-gate wars in PvP. It sort of worked on maps not called "Tal'Darim Altar". But most probably Tal'Darim is gonna get taken out of the map pool.

Don't think archons have changed much in PvP. It's just made twilight tech more diverse and adjusted the micro needed.

Blink Stalkers > Robo
DTs > Blink Stalkers
Robo > DTs

Though it all comes down to micro, PvP is basically that kind of rock paper scissors relationship IMO. Also phoenix play is basically hard-countered by archons, so that's no longer too viable. And early game is more of a coinflip b/c of the cheese. K4G is gone, but now there's more proxy gateways. Playing safe in itself can screw you over too.

I suppose I'll have to take a look at some of the casting to see if I can find some of these creative infestor play.

Zerg deathball > Protoss deathball.

And protoss still considered OP by zerg.

I've seen more and more zealot + ht play recently in TvP, and it feels pretty strong. So without the energy nerf it feels like this would be unstoppable. Generally more hellions from the terran side as well.
