Foreign tournaments are so so so lucky with their finals. GSL finals pale in comparison in terms of the excitement and how close it felt.

LOL....this closing UnderlineENT song doesn't fit well. They should have done the
(winner spoiler). It'll just induce zerg tears that Terran and Protoss are OP.Hidden Content:![]()
I've always enjoyed PvT over TvZ in terms of excitement level.Just feel like slapping terrans for not making a raven when they end up floating like 1k gas at the end.
EDIT: Nice finals but still don't feel like my money for the season was well spent. General production problems ruined it for me. Pretty good job from NASL but not enough for me. A lot of the enjoyment came down to the players and not the tournament which I'm paying for.

with all said and done, im glad i watched it. but as season two starts so soon, but its a poor prodution over all and i dont see it improving that quickly either, i think they are buisy with day-to-day stuff, fulfilling their business plan or whatever and not fully able to step back and determine the root cause of the endless list of production-quality issues.
the huge prize pools sort f guarantees a high elvel of play and excitement in the end though, andi guess the NASL prize will be one of the absolute top-dogs for a while, making the leagues poor production feel all the more awkward.

Well, did my best to be a good poster, and originally put this in the 'E-sport' section of the forum. However, since I actually want someone to read itI'll do a quick, 'ninja' post here...I seriously had no idea this event would be the success it was, and I think its a big turn for gaming, e-sports, etc....

Literally blocks away from me, (well, a cheap cab ride, really.) one of the Lower Haight's (San Francisco) more infamous sports pubs, "The Mad Dog in the Fog" hosted a showing of the NASL finals in front of God and everyone last Sunday! Actually not sure what the hell to expect, but I certainly didn't expect there to be so many SC fans, that the bar would have to begin turning people away. TBH, what I expected was maybe 5-7 guys wearing sunglasses and asking around nervously, "Umm....is this where they're showing the Starcraft finals...?"

Pretty good time if you can imagine a bunch of SC fans getting sloshed, talking gaming, and cheering on the best SC players in the world. - There was even wimmins there! Going to see if I can get one going at my pub.

With the recent djWHEAT vs Kotaku fiasco I am really hesitant to give them a page view. It's always awesome community wise to have these things. Overall, I'm still disappointed in the event. For the prize pool it offered the production quality just didn't seem to be there.

I agree. It would be one thing if they didn't charge, but it wasn't fair to charge people and then deliver....that. On the up side, it didn't take much beer to get you to forget about it.
Didnt hear about the djWHEAT vs Kotaku thing, so not sure what that is....but the link is rick-roll free if thats what that means.![]()

Well that explains few things - Guess I'll take their word from here on in with a grain of salt. However, it was still a great time, and turning into a very interesting trend for gaming. (if it takes off)
I told my pub-owner friend about it, and he is chomping at the bit to organize one for his place - sent him the barcraft link, and currently trying to figure out how to get his setup in the bar connected.
