May be that the second Overmind wouldn't have a directive, and Duran found it better to side with Kerrigan, for some reason.

I'm pretty sure it would still be under the Dark Voice's directives, since the cerebrate were pieces of the original overmind, and it was these that made of this new overmind. If you use infected pieces to regrow a body, the body rebuilt would still have those flaws.

Who do you think is more powerful between Kerrigan and Duran? At first look Kerrigan seems more powerful but Duran real power are unknown for the moment. Fooling the queen of blades isn't so easy. Anyway Duran has thousands years of experience and knowledge, and I think is psychic powers can match (or even surpass) an hybrid

In my personal opinion, Kerrigan could squash Duran like a bug in a fight.
But Duran is smarter and more devious, and wouldn't put himself in that position. (That might also let him mentally lie to Kerrigan.)
Incidentally, if anyone has ever read the awesome webcomic The Last Days of FOXHOUND, Kerrigan is Psycho Mantis and Duran is Revolver Ocelot.

I have a feeling Kerrigan is nothing compared to Duran.

Not so much like tearing off an arm, but each cerebrate was created from the Overmind based off of an aspect of its personality so that it will be very efficient in the task it was created for, since each cerebrate had a different main objective for its brood. Also, the Overmind describes the cerebrates as its children as well, and along with the cerebrates being similiar enough to the overmind in order to create a new one, seems to be proof enough to me.
Good question, but unfortunately we don't know what Duran is, or his capabilities. I would lean toward Duran though. Whether he's a believable enough shape-shifter to fool Kerrigan, or something else; even if he wasn't as strong as Kerrigan in terms of raw power, his far greater experience would likely win him a 1-on-1 match-up.Originally Posted by Blizzmaniac

Duran might not be a shapeshifter if he's just possessing bodies.
