Thread: I'm quite surprised...

Having played SC2 at Blizzcon on every tileset in the game, I never found this to be an issue. Even on the twilight background, the Stalker never blended in too much. The whole is is actually very easy to read, surprisingly so actually. I was expecting it to be jumbled.

However, the units DO tend to stack up a little bit and clip into each other, especially small ones like Zerglings. Again, its not like its a major issues, since each one has its own little green circle around it, making them stand out, but since the issue was about clumping, yes, it happens.

Still though, I never had any issues with readability playing as any of the races on any of the tilesets. Those videos and photos are garbage, and anyone who tries to judge the game by them is a moron.

If you saw the BlizzCon DirecTV official or 'unofficial' stream, you would understand that there's no issue with clarity.

Edit: I would say -maybe- that the twilight set is a little DARK, but it is CLEAR, no mistake about that.

As blizzard is trying to make this a truely competive E-Sport, I expect some modifications to the units at some point. As it stands, watching a game through VOD or streaming in a mirror match is slightly diffucult with the colors schemes. I find myself having a diffucult time trying to Identify who's units are who's. The games were they were not mirror races were much easier to identify units based upon the 3d models more then the colors.

Oh, thank you Nicobol (next time teach me ABC lol).

But ok, let me rephrase myself: Goodbye <wide> collision factor, hello “micro-less” game engine.

See? The problem is still here (and I don’t mean the clarity alone).

You mean goodbye jagged pathing hello liquid pathing?

You haven't explained how having different collision volumes makes the game "micro-less."

He's probably trying to argue that the units pack too tightly together to be individually-selected, therefore making micro too difficult. For which there is no evidence, IMO.

Seriously, how can we have people complaining about the game being to micro-heavy AND too macro-heavy at the same time?

Aren’t you a smart guy, Nicobol? Can you follow a simple logic and figure it out by yourself? I’ll even give you a hint:

Your ‘IMO’ is wrong and I don’t trying, coz I know the answer.

It seems that this game ‘could’ be micro/macro-less at the same time lol

So, where is the evidence? If he's wrong about there being no evidence for this, then clearly there must be evidence. Present it.

Statements which I provide need no evidence from me about their meaning, obviously like everyone else’s statements about theirs by logical reasons.

Do you want to play some semantics? I don’t btw.
