its an instant ban once blizzard wakes up and sees it (because its so blatently obvious).. so thats a wasted $60 copy of the game.

There are other hackers like that in high masters, I played one last week where as soon as ANY battle was about to start, it lagged so bad I couldnt move, Then right when the battle is over (ie I couldnt FF his mmm and lost everything) its no lag again.. This happened 4 times in the game in each battle. So theres others doing it too, just not as blatent as this guy.

Maybe they are just using him as a test subject before they ban him

If it's an analog hack, a lag switch, then Blizzard can't do much unless they manually ban him themselves.

You can insert an intermediate device between your computer/PS3/XBOX360 and your router, flip it on and create lag.

They've had this on for years in XBOX360/PS3 games, the "Hack" is undetectable by their system because it does not "exist" digitally. Alot of companies do not manually ban people and simply use criteria. The fact that he has had the same record from last season and now he's still around, he won't be banned any time soon.

This is still an on going problem for many FPS/Action orientated games on 360/PS3. A buddy of mine has been abusing this since 2007 on the same XBOX account. He's been reported numerous times and nothings happened.

And again you had to be pretty big noob about PC not to know about the change, I mean even the birds on the trees knew about it.

If that were all it was, wouldn't it just drop him?

An FPS has a different structure so I can see how it works there, but not in StarCraft to the point that it drops another person and gives the lagger a win.

Good point. I don't know how these things work exactly, but they lag to you to the point where you don't drop..it just slows down the game horribly without disconnecting you.

In a FPS, since there is a server, the hacker moves around freely on their client.
I'm guessing in SC2, since it's 1on1 - it just spams the "Tychusfindlay is slowing the game down". I'm sure if you could somehow macro it, you could "Flux" your lag so it re-flags that message.
I'm sure they could easily see that he is abusing the system if they looked at his account/connection to battle.net (if they record that). To really bring this to their attention, you'd have to probably give it to their anti hacking dev team. SC2 uses the same thing like WoW (Warden), it reads your memory and checks what you have open, etc.

I know one problem with these Anti Cheat things is that if the hack program is a one-off and specifically coded, they are much harder to catch.
