Protoss component of Raynor's Raiders?

What ever happened to the Protoss component of Raynor's Raiders? Are we supposed to assume the were all destroyed along with Fenix in "True Colors"? Before SC2 was announced, I always imagined the Protoss who served under Fenix would tag along with Raynor who has proven himself in the eyes of the Protoss and who was a friend and comrade-in-arms of Fenix. I guess I'm not getting that after all.

Maybe, or maybe they rejoined the Protoss on Shakuras, after all, wouldn't you want to help out your people in any way you could if they were really struggling?

They probably wandered off (or were just flat out wiped out by Kerrigan) to rejoin their people wherever. (Shakuras, with Zeratul, Aiur, wherever.)

They may like Raynor, but I doubt many of them want to just live with him unless he has some sort of mission or plan specifically to fill their own goals and needs.

Tho, Raynor ability to get out of sure death situations can leave the protoss jaelous.

But I of course like to hear that, at some point, you control protoss units in the terran campaign.

I'd have to say those Protoss are all dead according to the True Colors mission. I might not name them as a "component" of Raynor's Raiders. They had their own ships, etc.

Agreed. They are at best loose affiliations of them. That said, I think it'd be kind of cool if they left some tech for Raynor to utilize. Imagine Battlecruisers getting permanent plasma shields or elite Ghosts getting psi blades.

Don't be silly, Protoss don't take orders from humans, they have their own authorities. Surely the next in the command chain would assume Fenix's position and lead the group.
Most probably they left to join the other Protoss, prepare Fenix's funeral, or whatever the Protoss do.
