How do you follow your favorite people in the social community?

I more or less just use twitter to follow everyone that I want insight on what they are planning. I have literally just tweeted one time ever, and that was to support day9 when he was trying to win the shorty award. I have some friends that found out their favorite player's B.Net ID and virtual stalk them on there "IdrA just logged on" and stuff like that. I have the opinion that if someone wants you to know their ID they will tell it to you. Even when I played with Gifted I knew his ID before he gave it to me, but I never added him until he himself gave it to me. It don't feel right to add someone without their permission, to me at least.

I really just follow people whose streams I watch (iNcontroL, Tyler, IdrA, DJWheat, Day9, JP) and alot of the organizations that they are involved with as well (State of the Game, Kings of Tin, Team EG, TL.net, GosuCoaching.com, NASL.tv) and I was never more happy that I followed these people until this weekend with MLG having stream issues. Anna Prosser (iNcontroL's gf and reporter for Kingston HyperX at MLG) and the admins of TL.net were posting constant updates of the games. This weekend alone was worth me ever getting twitter.
