Ok there are actually 3 leagues:
    Code S: Very top
    Code A: Middle
    Code B: Bottom

Only Code S and A are televised and streamed. Everyone is aiming for Code S since the big bucks are there.

Every season they allow players from Code B to try and get into Code A through a big tournament qualifier. Only 16 make it. It's something like winning 3-5 Best of 3s in a row to get into Code A from Code B. Then once in code A if you lose in the first round you drop down to Code B. The top 8 in Code A get a chance to try and get into Code S through Up/Down matches.

In Code S it begins with group stages. The bottom 2 of the group (3rd and 4th place in their group) go to Up/Down matches.

Then Up/Down matches work like this:
3rd place Code S player plays one of the top 8 from Code A
The loser plays against 4th place Code S player
The final loser goes to Code A. The winners go to Code S.

Kinda complicated system but it basically punishes people in Code A and S for losing in their first round.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not immediately happy with change, but Moletrap is seriously the worst thing that has ever happened to starcraft casting, aside from maybe Husky. I didn't care for Kelly much but she was tolerable... Doa is pretty good... Moletrap should be replaced immediately though imo. Am I being too harsh or does he annoy anyone else?

Actually, Moletrap seems to understand the game slightly better, but he is too distracted and tries too hard to be funny. Both do not focus on the game when they should and Doa sounds like he doesn't know his stuff. Moletrap does entertain from time to time though, unlike Doa who is MUCH too bland...

It is subjective. I couldn't stand Kelly because of her Voice, while I was listening to the Doa and Moletrap before, not just SC2, but 2 years ago, I was listening to the Moletraps castings of SC BW, so I don't mind.

I disagree. Doa is way funnier and more interesting to listen to imo. He has an air of nonchalance but it adds to the humor. Also, I feel like Moletrap is too focused on what he's going to say sometimes. The one thing I like about Tastosis is that they genuinely laugh at each other, whereas the most Moletrap does is give an acknowledgement that Doa was making a joke. Other times, he just ignores it cuz it seems like he's too focused on what he's going to say.

Also, and I know this is a personal preference and doesn't necessarily apply to everyone, but I honestly don't mind the joking around. I know not everyone understands the game, but I feel as though I understand it enough that I don't need every second analyzed, and instead prefer some humor from time to time to maintain my attention while standard macro occurs.

Ya. Most finals have been....meh. Semifinals and RO8 usually have really good games though. Just how the brackets worked out I guess.
