Okay, so I played a ton of SC2 games this weekend at Blizzcon. It looks like they have made some changes in how the Nydus Network works. Here is what I found:
The building NYDUS NETWORK:
- Units that enter this building go into the "Nydus Network". Units may also be given rally orders to the building.
- The player can exit any/all units from the network at a rate of 1 unit per .5 sec (that's an estimate)
- Shares the network between all NYDUS NETWORK buildings. No matter where a unit enters, it becomes part of the same network and can then be exited from any building.
- The building has the ability "Spawn Nydus Worm" (or something named close to that) that spawns a destroyable, unmovable, worm
anywhere you have creep. I used this many times and found that I could spawn a worm for each building. I could also spawn a new worm after the old worm was destroyed (I didn't notice if it was on a cooldown limiter or limited in any other way).
The unit NYDUS WORM:
- This unit doesn't actually seem to exist. It's more like a building than a unit. It comes up wherever it is spawned (see above). It is destroyable while coming up, and cannot release units for the first 3 to 5 seconds (that's another estimate).
- Has the ability to exit any/all units
- Units that enter the worm return to the "Nydus Network" and can leave again at a new location.
