My point exactly. That could be concept art for another flashback, actually.
Aaand sold.
Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

I'm imagining different flashbacks, now.
Kerrigan being abandonned, being reborn...
Does anyone think her treachery in Brood War might appear? It certainly would be dramatic, and help those who haven't played the original get acquainted with the lore; I think this one might better be suited for Heart, however.
I'm going to assume that flashbacks to the Guild Wars might appear, too.
Arcturus Mengsk did nothing wrong. Tarsonis is just a conspiracy theory.

I'm wracking my brain trying to think of an acceptable reason for any of the factions to trust Kerrigan. I honestly think that if they do this then there's no way not to make it feel cliche and stupid.

If they need her help with something and it's life and death.
Same situation as before, there's something out there they don't know or trust as much as they do Kerrigan, though if they do trust her again they probably won't just leave their forces lying around waiting for her to strike.
Er... anyway, why would they need to team up for the story anyway?

StarCraft tagline: The only allies are enemies. The only option is war.Er... anyway, why would they need to team up for the story anyway?
I think it's likely that Kerrigan will be allied with someone at some point. I wonder whether Zeratul and Kerrigan might even be forced to ally briefly. Perhaps that is why Kerrigan confronts him in the Xel'Naga temple? There's always a way to make it not be cliche.![]()

So that they can lure her into a trap and backstab her. You know, that whole "revenge" thing.I'm wracking my brain trying to think of an acceptable reason for any of the factions to trust Kerrigan.
So that Kerrigan can have someone to talk to who isn't a lackey. One of the problems with the Zerg campaign in the first game was that it was the Overmind and his Cerebrates/Kerrigan, all of whom did what the Overmind said without hesitation or question. That gets kinda dull after awhile.Er... anyway, why would they need to team up for the story anyway?

All of the suggestions above I've already thought of but they all seem terribly cliche to me.

How about Rogue Queens who follow the Overmind? What what I gather Queens have a certain level of autonomy and sentience.
