LOL. If the season ended like 1 week later that'd be better for me to actually try and get my bonus points to 0.:P I'll try and see how low i can get it i guess.

I've actually been predicting for a while that the new ladder will have startling consequences. Since I assume inactive accounts will have a tendency to appear in greater number in the lower leagues, overall, there will be a greater chance for all players to end up in a lower league.

Basically, the number of people who play their placement matches, end up in bronze, play a couple of games and then stop will be significantly higher than those who work their way up into diamond, then decide they're bored. Therefore, the players in Season 2 will be, on average, better than those from Season 1. Since each league is 1/5 the total population, each league will have, on average, a better set of players, and thus it will be harder to get into each league.

I'm just hoping I don't drop into bronze. XD

I don't get this system. How will ranking work in this new system? Like, I won't be able to get out from bronze until the next season even if I roflpwn everyone there? Or is it just the bonus pool wont go up?

Well today is the day they lock the leagues. So from now until when the new season starts you can't get promoted or demoted to a different league.

In addition, they are also stopping bonus points from accumulating from today until the start of the new season. So your bonus points won't be increasing for like a week until the new season on March 29. They did that just to make it easier for people to use up their bonus points before the new season.

So to summarise:
From today until March 29th your bonus points will not increase. You cannot be promoted or demoted to a different league. If you're in Bronze now then you won't be able to go up to Silver or higher until next season. The exact time that they lock it today I'm not sure of though.
