What the hell is the point of building in a FPS view or Galaga-type game?!? It's a freaking RTS game, not an FPS or side scroller. It's no wonder SC2 will be taking 3+ years to come out when they keep working on unecessary crap like this.

Just get the damn game done and add in corny features like this years later when they have nothing else to work on. If people want to make an FPS then give them GMOD. People will be using Galaxy to make RTS games, NOT a freaking FPS.

People will use the editor for everything, but i agree with Blazur in that there isn't really any need to have FPS mouselook by launch, it could be added in a patch.
Maybe SP campaign is really finished by now, so the map guys weren't really doing too much, but adding the mouselook would involve programming.

Remember, Blazur -- they are waiting on BNET2 to get done, so they have all sorts of spare time right now.

Don't blame Dustin -- blame Rob.

It's not a matter of adding the feature to the game. It's already possible in the map editor.

The StarCraft II Editor is becoming more like Multi Media Fusion, or game maker.

This game will have the lifespan that could surpass the original. Imagine that...

No, they said specifically that they were adding support for mouselook. That it wasn't in that build, but was added later.

Either the map editor, the game, or both would need to be modified to add support for something like that.

And patches can modify any file. They are .exe files, they are capable of doing anything.

I thought they meant FOR THE MAP. Like they were referring to the build of the map not having mouse look yet, not the editor.
