That's what a BlizzCon attendee shouted out after Rob "answered" a question regarding the reduction of multiplayer lag in Australia. And of course, there was also that earlier incident where Rob asked how many people still play games offline and a little over half the crowd gave a resounding uproar of confirmation. After an insulting snort of laughter, he asked "Really?" and quite a few people shouted out things like "Yeah!" and "Yes!" and "All the time!" Asking why they didn't play online, a handful of people gave reasons, the only audible answer being "College." Then he proceeded to blatantly brush away those reasons by giving the insulting response, "Well, those five people will be able to play in offline mode."

When a company blatantly decides to remove one of the key cornerstones of PC gaming as we know it, and they proceed to give insulting and idiotic reasons as to why, then I say we have a RIGHT to "qqing" about no LAN.

Even if I got to register it online, I guess I'll be very busy playing the campaign and map making... I don't think I'll even go into battlenet...
In fact I've never played SC1 in battlenet... only once... access to internet is not as fast here, it's expensive and there were lots of fun LAN games for me...

That same person probably cant afford a decent computer to play sc2.
And if your college doesn't have wifi, your college just sux. This also doesn't stop 12 million WoW players.

I mean, none of this affects me, but I'd like to see the game succeed, and college students are a major demographic. Thats why I give a crap. Ive only used LAN maybe twice.

And you're the minority. A very large portion of SC players got the game through LAN gaming. I know for a fact my LAN party did it that way, and I know of six other regular LAN parties in my area that did it the same way.

LAN is a huge part of PC gaming. When they have an actual good answer for why they took it out, I'll listen. Until then, it's just stupid.

Agreed. It would be nice to know when the Beta is coming...will take our minds off these issues.
