Not really if you look at it...

It doesn't have to be a press release. They could just spend some time and chit chat together for the sake of PR. Answer basic questions to sites relating to the use of press passes and answer questions to help them do their jobs. It's the same reason that weddings have dress rehearsals... so it's smooth. We also know the people who would be involved in such a thing will be BUSY AS HELL when Blizzcon is actually in swing... That kinda stuff

Please understand, this is IF there is such a thing, it's my personal speculation of what could happen. That's all.
