Thread: Global Sounds

    Default Global Sounds

Some sounds are global in SCII, everyone no matter allie or foe can hear it no matter how close they are to the sound originator. For example the nydus roar. There are some sounds which I belive should not be global but are. The main one that comes to mind is the Queen's Transfuse ability. Everyone can hear it; but I feel that it should be a normal sound. There are others that are weird but I can't remember them. Anyone else think of any others that don't need to be global?

EDIT: Also the "Assimilation Complete" is a Global sound, you can hear it no matter how close you are to the unit it his being casted on (may only be for allies of the unit who has been neural parasited and the player casting the spell, but i'm pretty sure everyone hear's it). Is this an appropriate global sound? I don't belive there are any other spells (minus transfuse) that are global, why is this one so important it is global?

Transfuse does seem weird. I can't think of any off the top of my head though.

Well that's not what Imean from a global sounds, a global sound you hear regarless of how close you are to it, if your close to anythign u hear it such as a enemy chrono boost.
