From what I've read Blizzard are putting a *lot* (months) of effort into each single player mission, I'm pretty sure they're going to keep all the ones we've seen. Why would they scrap any of them?

You don't have to worry about defending yourself. This is quoted in two different interviews I've put into the beta link repository. I can't remember which though. But you have public sources if you need them. I think they quoted 40+ days each.
On another note, they also said that if a level just doesn't "cut" it, they'd remove it if they found something else that fit better. Their dedication to excellence is above manhours. I can vouch on this from personal conversational expirience with Jack. (I'm beginning to like being able to name him that.)
Well, if you look at the most recent schedule, it looks like they didn't have enough time for a singleplayer panel. They are pretty packed with the necessities on each subject. If they realized this a while ago, that they'd not be able to put up 4 panels and had to cut down to 3, this makes sense as a solid move. "Make the info public 1 week before.." and thus justify the removal of the panel.
This also mitigates the 1 week before stress that EVERYONE had last year. People were going CRAZY trying to make up news. This year is dramatically more positive in the forums. I'd call it a rather peaceful week actually in comparison.
As much as I'd love that, I think at this point, I'd love it more if I saw it in the game. Just tossing my opinion out, not disqualifying yours![]()

One thing I'd like to learn more about in Single player is the Heroes available and they exact mechanics.
I'd love to see Nova on the field somewhere. Not sure how she would fit in the story.
As for the mechanics, I was reading somewhere that they have plans to make it so you would actually use them in battle rather than babysit them.

They could just use some of these maps as optional sidequests, but as long as there's enough variety in the missions and enough optional stuff I guess it won't matter. I do think that with regard to sp more is better and I personally look forward to doing as complete a run through of the game as is possible.

I can't say for certain, but I'm sure there won't be a playable single-player campaign demo. Even if they allowed you to play the first two missions on Mar Sara, it would get boring after the second or third time through. From the third mission onward, the missions would likely take longer to complete than the typical 20 minute time limit.
So I believe it will be multiplayer again. Hopefully they bring back the 2v2 set-up. That was far more fun than the 1v1.
