Congrats to him, well earned. Not to undermine the MVP or anything but I do wonder what are the real intrinsic benefits of being an MVP other than a shiny icon, color and extra reputation.

His own personal satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with that, you won't be, a lot of people want to get that shiny icon and color and are satisfied because it represents their community work.

Being better able to help the Starcraft Community. Same thing its always been. For instance we have this great little network of wow and sc2 volunteer tech support people who can problem-solve difficult issues. You'd be surprised how many people work behind the scenes just to help you out if you ever need to come to the tech forums. So anyway along with me a wonderful wow techy who has been helping for several years, Ressy, was also made MVP.

Congrats Archer! Now come back to us some!
