StarCraft 2 is about many things. As outlined it's about Raynor's rebellion against the Dominion, the conflict between the newly reformed Protoss tribes and Artanis' attempts to reconcile with them, Kerrigan's invasion into the K-sector to 'finish the job', and yes, the sudden appearance of mysterious artifacts through out the sector as well, and the idea of this mysterious race called the Xel'Naga returning.
But that's one of four plots. And really, I personally think it's not going to be much more than a side-plot in WoL's main narrative. It probably won't come into focus until LotV.
But quite frankly I'm as bored with the Xel'Naga as I was when the idea of them returning was brought up. What on earth does Blizzard think will make them interesting villains/heroes/whatever...? They're a footnote in the manual. They don't have much room to be anything more than that. And the explanation for what the heck they are is just overtly complicated and bizarre.
...and I'm still bothered they stuck that information into a novel. Not that some of the novels aren't cool, and I think Christie Golden is Blizzard's best author, but... you EXPAND a plot with the extraneous material, you don't progress it. Uprising, The Last Guardian and Of Blood and Honor are all perfect examples. They provide insight into conflicts and characters without being required reading material and without introducing new conflicts.

Their relationship has TONS to do with her voice. If it's not Glynnis and Robert they're not the same characters, it's not as evocative. The chemistry, the characterizations will wind up being completely different, even though Blizzard's done a good job matching the dialogue and portrayals to SC1.Their relationship has nothing to do with her voice, which is VERY similar to Glynnis' version.
If you don't actually read my posts then I'm not going to continue discussing this with you. It's just that it's not Glynnis that you guys are up in arms about, not the fact that the voice isn't good.
That's exactly what I just said. It's not Glynnis. It SHOULD be Glynnis. No matter how much better the new actress is. (And I don't personally think she is any better, she's good, but not great. And seeing the two bits of dialogue back to back like this only confirms that for me.)

In all honestly I couldn't care less if you guys like the new voice or not. I'm fine with it and that is all that matters to me.
It's the fact that you bring it up in EVERY thread about something with either Raynor's, Kerrigan's or Zeratul's voice in it, and you go on and on for pages while derailing the entire purpose of the original thread.

How can discussing the voice be off-topic and derail a topic about the voice acting? (This cinematic is almost a year old. The only new thing is Strassman's voice)
That doesn't make any sense. This is the first bloody time we're hearing the voice in a scene with some context, what the heck else do you EXPECT us to talk about?

I'm not saying specifically this thread. It happened with Raynor's voice back at Blizzcon 08, the whole thread turned into people crying about his voice changing. It happened to a lesser degree when Zeratul was shown in the first singleplayer demo. And again when this cinematic was first shown at blizzcon 08.

One's a Zerg, one's a Protoss, one's 99% probably a Xel'Naga.Discussing the meaning of the Xel'Naga glyphs in the intro.
...what more is there to discuss? And if you want to discuss it, me talking about something else is not stopping you.
I don't understand what you're expecting here still. Are we not allowed to discuss the voice acting in a topic featuring a video with voice acting in it? I mean seriously, it's pretty judgmental to walk into a topic and tell people what they are and are not allowed to discuss about a certain topic. It happened to a lesser degree when Zeratul was shown in the first singleplayer demo. And again when this cinematic was first shown at blizzcon 08.

I don't know on which level of StarCraft lore fanatism you are Havox, I assume that you care more about multiplayer. For people like us (Aldrius, Eligor, me) even small details are important.
I for example don't care about the multiplayer that much that I care about Singleplayer campaign.
Such things like voice acting are one of the main factors about my experience with the Starcraft 2 Trilogy.
Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up
