Actually, in my opinion "sophisticated" is a term which applies to Glynnis but not the new voice actress (she is menacing, sure, but little else, Glynnis was menacing, mocking and amused all at the same time). But then, I am a Kerrigan fan and I already made my position on this issue clear.

To me, she's mocking and amused in the same way that a female Smallville villain is mocking and amused (and bitchy) after discovering how powerful she is with whatever newfound powers she acquired, and you just wish that Clark Kent would give her a tight slap :P.

Incidentally, I was also thinking that the voice actress for Dr. Hanson sounded really familiar - does anyone know who did her voice? This might sound silly, but she sounds like an older Glynnis Talken to me :P.

I guess we have really divergent ideas for what makes for a good female villain, and any heaping of descriptive adjectives on my part won't help, but "bitchy" seems to me too human and petty a term for Glynnis' performance in this case (tho' Kerrigan can be that as well), derisive and contemptuous is more like it. She mocks Zeratul precisely because she's so alienated as to be able to view someone like him as being far below her, physical and psionic prowess aside, even virtue and force of character don't impress her as power (and when they do, then only from the angle of sardonic amusement), quite different from the motivation of a female Smallville villain if you ask me.

However, I do think that regardless of what we've seen from Strassman, Kerrigan is, at the very least, going to end up being written very similarly to her Brood War incarnation.

Well, Kerrigan's character was defined during the Brood War, it was largely her story.

I didn't feel one bit of Malice aside from the Muahahaha, and that's a really bad sign considering Kerrigan's voice not matching the true evil of her character.

After comparing the two videos, it's a no contest choice that Glynnis fits the Kerrigan character, I listened to Glynnis first and then the new one and I was like Wtf?

Please Blizzard, if you have any sense in your brains at all you will get Glynnis back the way you did with Clotworthy.
