Yeah, now that I think about it, I'm glad I was able to share it with this community. On a personal note, I really just love the feel here. It's nice that I was able to share this with you guys.

On a note to the admin/moderators.. please PM me before you decide to consider making this more public. I'd appreciate it.

Answering a bunch of questions and not revealing anything show-stopping. Golden.

As the beta unrolls, Blizzard aught to consider having more fansite chats with the SC2 staff, could be fun.
This wasn't anything "Blizzard", but just Jack having a chat with me that spilled over to here. I think you didn't assume that but I wanted to make sure that there was no confusion.

Cool of him to do that!

I'm... disappointed in the answer I got. (I mean I figured out that they feel the new stuff works better for the game on my own...) But really cool of him to do what he did.

...on the other hand I doubt I'm ever going to find out why they think "Flying unit that needs to become a ground unit to shoot stuff!" is a good idea (ground unit that becomes a flying one after an upgrade is so much cooler!)... but eh. Like I said, really appreciate it.

Nah, no confusion, just thinking there should be more of these chats from more of the hard workin' folk over at Blizzard. But Like I said, after the beta unrolls and there's less stress from development...

Thanks again to the both of you though. Thumbs up!

Oh, and love Jack's" Star Fox reference... it all comes back to Star Fox...

A lot of thanks to him for taking the time to answer the questions and to elucidate on some of the design philosophy behind SC 2(these bits were probably the most interesting). And wish him and the other guys on the team best of luck with getting this game rollin'.

Agreed. What really counts is that their process is solid. No matter what specific units/abilities/etc their are, if a good design management process is followed, the end result will be good.

Give him a big thanks for answering all this questions. Blizzard should officialy consider this kind of direct chats. And thanks to you also, Gifted. If there were a reputation system, it would be flooded.

That makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. To be honest, I personally felt really good about this for a more personal reason. In the past, I tried to give information that turned out a wee bit incorrect but I tried to explain why afterwards. (If you remember the Friends and Family Alpha misunderstanding I had)

I always felt that people would read that as "backtracking" instead of explaining. It's nice that I've been able to share some of my conversations with him with all of you, I love this community more than any other SC2 community and felt it a good situation overall. I got a quick email simply saying "nothing to worry about so far" so I guess it's all in the clear.

I wouldn't be surprised if last night was partially alchohol related Even if it was "crappy beer"

    Holy crap: 150 posts...
