Default Jim Raynor x Sarah Kerrigan - bitter love..(SPOILERS)

    Greetings fellow terrans
I open this tread discussing something different here,no it will not be the hybrids, nor the future in Legacy of the Void,or things that happened.
This time,I require to talk about the thing, that is the most different to find these days in Koprulu Sectorure, innocent, strong and fragile...love.
Yep...in times of war it may sound stupid to someone, even more so when you're dealing whit zergs on the fields...But Jim managed to feel love...again...I've read somewhere(in the net) a player saying "He quickly forgot about his wife and son bla bla bla...I don't think it's possible bla bla..." he was ranting like hungry mosquito and I was not agreed...
There were crazy times,Kerrigan working for Mengsk and all,Raynor was one of Mengsk men as well, few missions whit Kerrigan, some little time alone together..When a man falls in love...it's not like his able to control it,it's not like "hey I will fall a little bit now...and maybe more later.." it just happened...And I don't think Kerrigan had hard time understanding it..Hell she liked him to...
Ahh and Jim..the most honest man in the goddamned Sector..that's the thing I like in him,he's idealist in world of dead idealists,he devoted himself to the few people he called "friends" and in the end ended up alone or betrayed by some. It's strange,a ship full of crew but still alone...
And now Kerrigan deinfested...and freed from her evil half..Raynor face still dark and serious..It's like he don't knows what to think,is this the same girl that he loved..It is quite the hard bruised, bleeding, tragic kind of love story...Is there a future for it or ..no...

PS:Serious post will be appreciated...so no goofing pls..And remember,in war and love everything goes so let loose your mind...and let's geek out

This sounds like the kind of geek love that belongs in a discussion of twilight novels.

In other words, SC fans typically don't give a crap about the romance elements of a story. I think, we're more about action movies and war and violence. Story on the side is fine, sure. But it's more 'political intrigue' or 'what lead to war'.

Not smarmy character interactions. Just to me, that's quite boring. The characters were never really fleshed out that much in the universe anyway and are quite predictable. Unless you want to dwell into psycho analysis about their childhoods or D&D theoretical alignment based on certain avenues of their moral psyche (rather then the entire character portrayed in the plot; since the latter is obvious based their actions, result, etc. Even the intentions aren't clearly there though) or whatever, I don't think we'll be getting anywhere.

Well, well... explaining Raynor's character on a more deep level appears to be what you're asking. I think that could be interesting.

Love is love. Much of the time it leads to sex. Did Raynor bang Kerri? Who knows. Maybe once, maybe twice. Or not at all.

Raynor's probably made love to many women in the past, given his own history and charisma.

Did Kerrigan ever sleep with anyone besides Raynor (if at all)? Probably not.

Why did Raynor fall for Kerrigan? I'm guessing it was that she was the mysterious tough girl - Raynor's a tough guy and a (somewhat) wisened guy. He digs whatever is unique. Kerrigan is unique to the max - even though Raynor is a wild road warrior of the Mar Saran outback, able to ride for miles of stretch on his 300km+/hour vulture, where things are as free and unique as they could ever be (compared to the megacity of Tarsonis on Tarsonis). Kerrigan was more unique than that. She was also intelligent. That uniqueness struck a chord in Raynor. Because Raynor is as wise as he is, he was able to observe this about Kerrigan in the few days (or weeks or month or more; however long it was in Liberty's Crusade) that he'd worked with her.

She was probably also incredibly wise and understanding for her age (even more so, being a telepath). As a civilian non-hero personality archetype - she'd be the 'zen chick', able to prattle on at length about the mind and nigh-fascist ways of getting the job done and overcoming her own human weaknesses. She'd be a social introvert, ignored in high school, but finding her own clique in college - or perhaps rising to be socially admired by those more mature folk.

Ahh and Jim..the most honest man in the goddamned Sector..that's the thing I like in him,he's idealist in world of dead idealists,he devoted himself to the few people he called "friends" and in the end ended up alone or betrayed by some. It's strange,a ship full of crew but still alone...
Raynor is the captain rebel commander, so his men are his responsibility. He has to work to retain their loyalty. He can't cozy up to any of them, because that would make him seem as human as they are.

In truth, there are a lot of idealists in the SC universe. But a lot of them are insane. They're like the timecube guy on here. If you've seen how crazy people are in the real world - the genetic breed of terrans in SC are probably worse, because they descended from apathetic social introverts in the 21st and 22nd centuries, where manual labor was forgotten and everyone literally zoned out on computerized brain jack terminals - with the actual concept of freedom and common sense a ruined dream (the two became simply words strung together in synonomous sentences, with eventually little or no meaning).

Note for next time: Please try to keep your text properly formatted in paragraphs. No walls of text. Check up on the grammar. It helps for better intelligent (or geeky) discussion. Otherwise, it just sounds so much more like you're rambling - and how would that sound in real life, out loud? Quite awkward methinks. Exactly.

He was married once and had a son. One's dead, the other ... might be. (He might have a lover in Devils' Due... or not. It's about the only significant period of his life post-adulthood that hasn't been covered.)

Shortly after being freed from the Confederacy, she slept with Somo Hung. (Then he died.) Her luck with men is possibly worse than Raynor's luck with women.
