This game just got leaked a whole 49 days before its release (last friday), on PC. There's even developer tools and a developer console in the game. This is insane. It's apparently also an inside job.

Looks much better than any console game and it's locked to medium-high. Going to be a very nice looking game, for sure. Now, we'll just see if it looks better than Crysis 1

The system requirements are a bit high but I guess that comes with state-of-the-art graphics.

By today's standard, they're not that bad. It's just that, if you have an old computer, you probably haven't had many games that prompted you to upgrade so you haven't.

This sort of sucks. I used to be happy when this happened when I was a 15 year old. But now, after all the recent consoles - I'm not really sure where PC gaming is going in the next 5 years. Retail has already axed it (Best buys and etc relegate PC gaming to one pathetic section of a wall now) basically. I mean yah; STEAM/D2DRIVE exists, but I think a unified medium needs to exist to advertise games. How will new gamers ever be able to "Discover" indie or online only games? PC gamers moan and bitch about how Developers are selling out to 360/PS3, but I don't think we need to look further than our own hard drives


Off topic on graphics: I heard it is just a horribly written game engine. Yes it looks pretty and etc, but it does so inefficiently...or so I hear from my Comp Sci buddies.

I downloaded the so called beta version of the game, and so far it's hardly playable.

The game constantly crashes, some textures are missing etc.

Due to the constant crashing, I've only played it for like 2 minutes. But so far, the graphics look great, and it runs really really well on my not so new PC.

I'm looking forward to the full version, and from what i've heard from my friends with Xbox'es, the multiplayer beta is pretty good.

I think you're right to be concerned. For most of last year up until now I have occasionaly glanced at the Steams peak number of users, and it seems to me that the peak has spiked lately. Interesting to note that this user total spike only came after Blizzards recent updates to WoW and Starcraft.

Really now - what problems have you run into? I've been playing for an hour and a half - no game-breaking bugs yet :P

I kind of like all the debug info - it tells me that my video card sucks ^^

"YOUR CPU IS WAITING ON THE VIDEO CARD BY 32ms"
and... on average, like 500,000 polys a second

Oh - and I'm totally buying this when it's out for real ^^
