As for the Ghost in question being naked... you haven't looked at the model very closely, have you? Or any Ghost concept art in the past ten years? I mean, it's kinda obvious that the only part of her skin that's visible is above the neckline.

Right, she isn't actually naked, granted. Nonetheless, the entire outfit design is nothing but extremely suggestive, and if they could at all have justified it I'm sure they would have given her the night-elf-style armoured bikini. It's totally pandering to the sweaty 13-year old demographic, which is a shame, as I'd like to imagine that the game wouldn't need that in order to be successful, and it'd be better off without it.

StarCraft? Serious? When we have Lester and Sarge, those Marines goofing off on the Amerigo, OBVIOUS propaganda (Moreso in Brood War than Vanilla, but still...) and a guy who clawed his way to the top of a rebel group and won against all adversity, but flies off the broom handle at the slightest hint of criticism?

Does Mengsk fly off the handle in SC/BW? Well, someone else made a big topic about this already, and I agree that BW hasn't the most intelligent dialogue. But don't confuse humour with comedy. SC/BW by and large are not comedy pieces, even though they have a fair share of humorous moments. WoL by contrast oftentimes just feels like slapstick or a parody. The armoured bikini doesn't help.

Yes, because the image of sexy, female Ghosts are all over Starcraft 2's advertising.

Seriously, the Ghost is portrayed as an infiltrator and sleek, skintight outfits are a common stereotype of the archetype. And since tuxedos would make even less sense, it's no surprise Blizzard ran with the former instead. More importantly, it can be rationalised since making clothes as closely-fitted as possible would reduce the risk of them accidentally brushing against other people (which would be very bad since the Ghost is cloaked and doesn't want to be detected). Hence, the only reason not to do so would be to provide the Ghost with protection. However, wearing armour would be bulky and impair the Ghost's primary function.

Also, bear in mind that concept art for male Ghosts have been wearing skintight outfits long before the high-res design of Nova came about. Moreover, all male Ghosts and Spectres in Starcraft 2 also wear similar outfits, as can be seen with Gabriel Tosh. If Blizzard was solely pandering to the 'sweaty 13-year old demographic', as you so put, this wouldn't be the case and the Medic would most definitely not look like this.
