I spent last night actually doing the challenges since I haven't touched them since launch. Completed all of them but during the psionic assault mission my internet disconnected the time was able to get the kills. Now my profile reads 232 kills best score but shows no achievement. In retries I keep losing too many units to the reaper attacks and the viking spawn.

Simple enough psionic assault just requires quick reactions and perfect positioning. That will just take practice.

Then it's like I said Destiny. Your problem is execution then. Mechanics and macro. Day9 daily 252 should help with your mechanics:

Basically find good habits for mechanics and macro especially early game. Then play custom games or ladder for practice.

I've hit diamond with zerg and protoss on two seperate accounts. Still having a hard time trying to redo psionic assault for gold. Damn that disconnect :P

EDIT: I remember when I first got things like that. Then I decided to just save game and try to reconnect to B.net before completion.:P That usually works.

Saving the game works if you load it and keep going? WTF.... I wish I knew that. I'd do it to perfection past the damn reapers and save it. So I can do the viking wave without losing all of my sentries.

This is viable, yes?

Well I did it like the month or so after release. Not sure if it still works now. But it works the same with single player mission saves etc. I did it for the "Choose the correct units to counter" challenge. Worked perfectly for that. But then I found out you could just manually retry each individual one so i felt stupid relying on the saves for the first one.:P
