Whoop dee doo. Highlights from last years Blizzcon include "GEEK IS," Diablo 3 class unveiled and almost everything else we already knew.

I can understand still having it for the experience of going there but why stream it and ask people to pay for it? Note: I did not pay for it.
I really need to change this...

Yeah, probably not in 2011, but I have a sneaky feeling they are going to announce it in 2012. For now I think they will just announce D3 release data and show SC2 next expansion.

I'm so excited; I just can't hide it!

If Rob Pardo's comments are to be believed, there won't be a last WoW expansion for at least another decade. Titan can't wait that long.

Originally they were planning on 7, but I don't keep up on WOW too much so that might be significantly outdated.

Anyone here thinking they'll be headed to the con this year?

They had 7 expansions planned advance. Rob Pardo has since then issued statements such as "We will support WoW as long as there are players" and "WoW will be supported as long as the internet is up."

Well, supporting the title, yeah. Just like they are still supporting all of their previous titles. That doesn't mean that they will make more than 7 expansions for WoW. Fact of the matter is, at one point, it just won't be profitable enough to make another expansion.

We can't have WC4, because its story will have to retcon WoW's recons of WC3.
lol yeah. Then again, I think the best thing to do if they want to make a new WC would be to just reboot the franchise.

Blizzard released too much information about WoL and it diminished the experience for me.
Very much agreed....when we kept hearing new info, and seeing all that new footage, I was always under the impression that they were saving something for release. I've promised myself not to do that with the next two expansions.

I recall Diablo being announced not too long after SC2 - is the release really that far off?

HA! - Don't know bout you guys, but I don't think we're gona see WC4 for quite some time. Just a feeling...

Of course, I'm not saying they'll be making expansions 20 years from now just because a few hundred play it. I'm saying that they'll probably still be making them even after the eight or so years from now that Titan is in development.

Also, this was a GameSpot interview article and the context and exact quote hinted at more support than, say, Diablo II and StarCraft: Brood War have gotten (i.e. end-game content patches). Since I probably butchered the quotes, it probably makes more sense in the article. I remember they said something like "EverQuest is still getting expansions even after a decade and that they planned to surpass that.

The 2010 Blizzcon was a disappointment because of the timing. SC2 was released so there was nothing new to show, WoW expansion was in beta so any news was already available everywhere, and Diablo announced a new class, but was too far from release to show a lot of game play.

2011 could be the perfect storm of news:

    First look at SC2 expansion!

First look at next WoW expansion!

Should be close to Diablo3 beta?

A year closer to a Titan announcement (still doubt we will see it).
