White is definitely easier for me to read.

I've played around with the white text, and I actually think it's a bit bright. But the current gray text still forces to you to focus a little in order to read it. If we were able to find an in-between, a slightly less-bright white, or a brighter gray, I'd be happy. With the current gray or white, I'll be getting a headache trying to read either.

(BTW, no significance with colors to the text, just playing around.)

I'm with the spider brigade. I prefer gray to white from options listed (as I voted), but if we got a lighter shade of gray like the ones suggested here, that would be even more awesome.
