You're making the issue too black and white. A person who is aroused by a handicap is exactly as normal as someone who is aroused by a foot fetish, or bondage fetish, or BBW fetish. That is to say, we all have our own disturbing issues - even TheEconomist, despite his objections. A "generous heart" is in no way attributable to attraction to a handicap. Being with someone because of their handicap is called pity. Being with someone in spite of it is the goal. To see the entire person, not just their handicaps, is what Katawa Shoujo tries to teach.
