StarCraft delayed to 2010? Who didn't see that coming?

Well its official. Its been delayed right from the horses mouth. Of course, you could of guessed that when the game was first announced. First, they decided they wouldn't possibly fit all they wanted to into one game due to how long it would take. Ok so lets break it down into three different games, thus giving Blizzard an extra 2-3 years on to the intial 5+ years they have been working on it to begin with. Beta coming in the summer? Yeah right. Its already August and instead of any beta they just bombard the media with "Battle Reports". So now its 2010. I think that they completed the production, filiming, and releasing of Lord of the Rings in less time than it is taking for this game.

Peter Jackson starts development of Lord of the Rings trilogy in 1995
Peter Jackson releases part 3 of the movie trilogy Return of the King in 2003
Total: 8 yrs

Blizzard started production of SC 2 in 2003
Assuming all goes well, Blizzard releases part 1 of StarCraft 2 trilogy in 2010
Total: 7 yrs

Plus parts 2 & 3? Total: 10+ years at least!

And yes I know SC 2 team got held up when Wow was released, but so was peter jackson!

The point is Blizzard is either way short stafted or their deadlines are about as hard as jello. "Oh well we will just keep doing it until we are satisfied, all the while stringing along the public." Thats BS!

Blizzard should remember one mantra while making this:

Perfect is the enemy of good!

They will not make a perfect game. No one can! Accept that fact and give us an awesome game already!!
