    Exclamation Connection Problem

    Hi Guys, Destinee here

First time posting, so have no idea where i should post or start

I have a connection problem. First timer for me. The problem, basically is that I am unable to log on to Sc2 online.
At the login page I press 'connect' once I entered my e-mail address. The game lags, then says that I am unable to connect to Battlenet. Then there is two options, which I don't even bother to look at (Play offline and Cancel)
My OS System is XP Media Center Edition 2002 (Yes Its Old) but i managed to play Sc2 for around 6 months from my birthday in July 2010 (Lucky me, it released on my bdae, the 27th) till the beginning of this week.

Another thing that I have noticed, the game lags and the login page only displays after around 3 seconds when the background and music appears
The last thing is that whenever I patch, the patcher says 'Tracker is not responding' even though progress is made and I am able to reach 100% and click 'Play'

Please help and again I am sorry if I do not post up to your standards.
    Im new.

    Chao!
    Destinee

Sounds like something with your system or internet. I doubht it's anything on Blizzard's end. It could be a problem with your ISP, something with Windows or, considering the age of your pc, a failing network card.

Yeah, block all programs that are using the internet automatically with a firewall and use TCPoptimizer and set the option to "optimal".
-Programs like Skype, antiviruses, msn, Java, any adobe program, etc... use the internet periodically to check for updates and transmit and receive information. The more programs you have like this the more your internet is being used.

Also if blocking those programs from auto connecting and using tcpoptimizer does not help you may want to call you ISP.

BTW what is your internet speed? You can test at speedtest.net and post the results here.

Ugh thanks for asking me to test

    Download 4.18mb/s
    Upload 0.93mb/s
    Ping 19ms

I noticed my ranking against the ISP average
Pisses me off to think about it
    Geez.

You got a good internet connection, about the same as me and the speed should not be the problem. I play with no lag playing whit skype and downloading at 100 kb/s.

I am almost sure you are behind a odd configured router of firewall. If you are using windows firewall go desactivate it and check if i work. If you are using another firewall do the same AND completly desactivate the windows one.

If you have an old router who don't automatically open up port for program to communicate you will need to open these manually.

In any case, reset you modem and router.
