The odds of me winning a key through either of the two contests I entered are fairly low, and the odds of me getting a random key through blizzard are so low as to be non-existent.

Anyway, same here, especially since my computer probably won't be beastly enough to record high quality footage.

Faintest idea, really. I just hope my odds work in my favor this time. I've been planning on getting pretty serious with my SC2 gaming but alas, who knows?


Does anybody have any figures on how many people might get keys from the Blizz opt-in?

Blizzard usually offers 40,000 beta keys, according to this news site: http://www.starcraftzine.com/2008/10...ss-conference/

They say there should be more for StarCraft II. I don't know how many opt-ins there will be; the number will rise when the number of players fall or they just need new testers (according to various interviews).

Probably not actually. They probably want to see how multiple machines handle the game.

Quite true, but isn't the main point of the beta is for balancing, I'm sure they already know how it will run on most machines.
