The odds of me winning a key through either of the two contests I entered are fairly low, and the odds of me getting a random key through blizzard are so low as to be non-existent.

If I get in I could probably record relatively high quality footage...but it would mostly be of me failing probably.

Blizzard usually offers 40,000 beta keys, according to this news site: http://www.starcraftzine.com/2008/10...ss-conference/
They say there should be more for StarCraft II. I don't know how many opt-ins there will be; the number will rise when the number of players fall or they just need new testers (according to various interviews).

Quite true, but isn't the main point of the beta is for balancing, I'm sure they already know how it will run on most machines.
