Nah, they should put them in as either 'heroes' or 'critters'.
I can go for this, and in fact I personally think both the MShip and Carrier should be consigned to campaigns/scenarios and replaced with a DT themed attacker-spellcaster. to fill the 'command-ship'...
Kinda how the whole thing was taken from the 'Starship Troopers' novel by Robert Heinlein.
Well as it stands, Zerg have 13 units (not including spawns), Terran have 14, and Protoss have 15, so I'd be quite happy to just drop the MShip.
A bit OT, but while Knights Of The Realm in space makes no real sense, space westerns in general are actually a fairly workable genre, if used carefully.
Philippines, UK, Canada, US, Austria, this is supposed to be an 'isolated' incident?
Except that it doesn't work like that, you have to outlay 350/250 right at the start and wait 120 seconds before you can even move them.
Except that it goes from AtA to GtG, not AtG (the difference is what can hit it, which for the Viking-ground is just about everything except those that are dedicated AtA and GtA). The Banshee is the...
Well that's a non-sequitur.
What about replacing Snipe with an ability similar to the old Nomad 'Targetting Drone' ability (so that the Ghost can't do anything else while he's targetting an enemy unit).
If VR is the answer to pretty much anything then it's too good and needs to be brought down a bit, ie, by re-instituting the power drop after each kill.
IMO the Carrier is too expensive to cover the anti-light AtG role so they need to replace it with a weaker (250/200 hp/shields) unit with no/weak AtA.
Or missiles (I've long held the opinion that they should have replaced the Carrier with a unit that employs the MShip's AtG missiles).
Actually, 'no' is implied by options 3 and 4, take your pick.
Hey, maybe Heart of the Swarm will replace rather than add units.
Actually, the Thor isn't the Goliath for two very obvious reasons anti-light GtA and high damage GtG, in fact it is pretty much the Goliath reversed.
Because it had exactly 0 shields against AtA attacks, and Protoss units always have shields (reduced to 0 points maybe, but never not there).
Maybe, but the shield mechanic was thoroughly un-Protossy, and apart from the mechanic it was basically a facelifted Carrier.
Yep it did, but it was as much Blizzard's refusal to really try...
Sorry, you want to replace an existing unit with the very unit it replaced (which is, let's face it, basically the existing unit with a new mechanic, and thus, doesn't really warrant a name change...
Well if we had one for the Phoenix and another one for the VR it'd make the Fleet Beacon a bit more enticing, and thus the Carrier might see a bit more use, if only because people would be more...
No thanks, they just need to give the Fleet beacon a few more techs (the old one had like 4, 2 of which were for the Scout).
The problem here was Blizzard's absolute refusal to touch the ST beyond stats changes, that basically forced them to either repeat the SC mech lineup (though they at least 'tried' to refresh it, but...
This is the blasted problem, no-one knew what to expect from SC, but now they've been playing SC for years they want SC2 to be pretty similar, except that it's a new game, not an expansion, so there...
How about few more X'N gadgets, ie, a tower that gives the owner Detection over a good radius, or blocks enemy Detection in certain radius, or hels allied units in a certain radius, or shields units...
Thanks Crazy.
