It looks like bulky armor rather than a shell of a former body, imo. The original Archon had a naked Protoss body, which gave this simple yet majestic look to it, imo.

Yeah, it's like 80 or 100 minerals and 30 gas.

Well, for that, settings can come into play. If it needs more memory or such to run that kinda thing, they can just make it toggle-able in the settings, like everything else. If it doesn't work out...
